Workshop Day

Workshops

9:00 am - 10:30 am Workshop B | Automatic generation of punctual schedules

During the scheduling and planning phase, flight delay risks are barley considered, especially when the AC productivity should be increased the impact on punctuality cannot be determined reliably.

11:30 am - 1:00 pm Workshop C | Stakeholder value and process automation in the regional hubs

Automating airport processes doesn’t directly lead to stakeholder value any more than increasing amounts of data lead to better decision-making. In this context, this workshop explores where and how AI techniques can “improve” organizational processes, and then discusses the conditions for transforming the results into stakeholder value. The workshop evaluates these proposals in light of the context of the objectives, agenda and resources of the regional hubs.

2:30 pm - 4:00 pm Workshop C | Aircraft ground operations automation

Aircraft ramp operations are very labor intensive and subject to increasingly high manpower turnover and stringent health and safety regulations. They are prone to human errors and ramp damage. Practical AI examples of the research and full-scale demonstrators will be shared with the audience, specifically on the automated docking of ground support equipment to aircraft.
